I've been doing some thinking and research. As much as I like to say it, I believe mystery writing will be the genre. I know most writers or authors just let the words take them away. But in my reading if you set out to do a great story with an idea of a situation then the story builds if not writes itself. Some of the best ones really followed this formula. Everyone is different, so I'm not saying one way is better then the other. Just find what works and go with it, let it become natural.
